Today we got a nice problem with DCFM Software. One of our switches are unreachable. DCFM tell us „snmp authentication problems“ and so on. If you try to set a password (Discover -> edit) it tells us „Authorization Failure – invalid credentials.“ A colleague find a nice hint on that blog. That gave us the last kick to do a „hafailover“. After that and set the old password again everything is up&running. Sry for my poo english 😉
Schönes DCFM Ding. Einer unserer Switche erschien nicht mehr. SNMP Probleme, Login nicht möglich usw usw.. Der hafailover stand schon fest da fand mein Kollege noch nen Link auf diesen Blog. Genau unser Problem. Das Password konnte nicht mehr gesetzt werden, auch wenn es richtig war (Discover -> Edit des betroffenen Switches). Nach dem hafailover und dem erneuten setzen des PWs lief wieder alles. Dieser Bug setzt das Password auf Null bzw erlaubt keine neue Eingabe, deswegen muss nach dem hafailover das PW nochmal neu gesetzt werden.
